Characteristics
Because CdO decomposes and vaporizes under the action of arc, AgCdO has high resistance against welding and arc erosion, and low and stable contact resistance. AgCdO has also good workability. But CdO has a certain degree of toxicity. By increasing CdO content, the welding resistance of the material can be improved, but the contact resistance and temperature rise will increase, and the workability can be decreased.
